Dr. Mix
Angela C. Mix, D. O.
Dr. Mix is board certified in pediatrics, and current Vice Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at THR Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, and is also the current Chair of the Inpatient Pediatric Committee at THR Presbyterian Hospital of Plano. During the past four years, Dr. Mix also served as the 2009 President and Executive Committee member of the Pediatric Society of Greater Dallas.
Dr. Angela Mix graduated from the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1999, and completed her residency at the University of Nebraska & Creighton University Medical Center. Prior to joining West Plano Pediatrics in 2007 and becoming a partner, she served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospitalist at UT Southwestern / Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Dr. Mix still remains on the active clinical teaching faculty. In addition, Dr. Mix conducted two years of Asthma & Allergy Research at the University of Wisconsin Madison prior to entering medical school. She also has written abstract and text book publications pertaining to meningitis in infants and children.
Although a Wisconsin native (and Packer fan), she now resides in the community with her husband, son and a beautiful bouncing baby boy born in January 2011. Dr. Mix is fluent in German, and enjoys the study of foreign languages, ballroom dancing, hiking, singing and cooking.
