Dr. Angela Mix, D. O., has been a board-certified Pediatrician since 2002.
Dr. Mix joined West Plano Pediatrics (WPP) in October of 2007.
She is the current Medical Staff President of Texas Health Presbyterian Plano.
She is the former Pediatric Department Chair of Texas Health Presbyterian Plano (2013-2015).
Dr. Mix has recently been recognized by D Magazine as best Pediatric Specialist in 2015 & 2016. She has been voted a “Mom-Approved Doctor “by readers of Dallas Child magazine annually since 2012.
Dr. Angela Mix graduated from the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1999, and completed her residency at the University of Nebraska & Creighton University Medical Centers.
Dr. Mix served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospitalist at UT Southwestern / Children’s Medical Center of Dallas from 2003-2007. Dr. Mix remains on the UTSW clinical teaching faculty and precepts medical students and residents regularly.
Dr. Mix has advocated for the health of children by serving as the 2009 President and Executive Committee member of the Pediatric Society of Greater Dallas, by appearing on the local news regarding topics relevant to the health and safety of children and by serving on multiple hospital committees.
In addition, Dr. Mix conducted two years of Asthma & Allergy Research at the University of Wisconsin Madison prior to entering medical school. She also has written abstract and text book publications pertaining to meningitis in infants and children.
Although a Wisconsin native (Go Badgers!), she now resides in the community with her husband of 12 years and two wonderful boys. Dr. Mix enjoys attending her sons’ sporting events,cooking, hiking, playing the piano and singing. Dr. Mix is fluent in German, dabbles in Spanish and enjoys the study of philology and linguistics.
