Dr. Rixney Reed is committed to providing compassionate, competent, and evidence-based care to children. She joined West Plano Pediatrics in February 2022.
A native of New Orleans, Dr. Reed completed her medical and residency training at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport and New Orleans, respectively. She is a board-certified pediatrician and enjoys partnering with families to help their kids achieve joyful and healthy lives. She was awarded and recognized as Mom Approved in 2023 by DFW Child magazine. In addition, she is an enthusiastic mentor to students aspiring to enter the medical field.
When she is outside the office, Dr. Reed enjoys spending time with her husband and stepson, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and binge-watching shows on Netflix.
