Dr. Laurie Berger graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed her residency at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. She is board certified and has been a partner with West Plano Pediatrics since 1998. Dr. Berger has received many awards including “Best Pediatrician” by the Plano Star Courier, Mom Approved doctor by the readers of Dallas Child magazine and D Magazines best pediatrician. She regularly is interviewed on the nightly news. In addition, she teaches resident doctors in two departments; Family and Community Medicine and Pediatrics. Dr. Berger is on the Board of The Family Place which is an organization dedicated to ending family violence. In 2013, she established a medical clinic on the safe campus of The Family Place and continues as the medical director. Dr. Berger’s patients use the adjectives calm, kind, gentle and knowledgeable to describe her. Most importantly, she loves caring for her patients from infancy onward. She views being a doctor as a continuing conversation with her patients and looks forward to caring for them everyday.
I want to say THANK YOU for the exceptional care you have provided to our family over the last decade. Our daughter is blessed to have you as a physician. Your knowledge and caring goes way above and beyond. You obviously care very deeply for your patients. I have encountered friends who have struggled for years trying to find a Dr. that could diagnose their symptoms. Your knowledge and the relationships you have with fellow Drs. in other specialities is invaluable. My only wish is that every child has a Dr. like you!
Dr Berger is great, she always approaches my children with such interest and concern for their health. And she doesn’t “over-medicalize” it (just made that term up), if there’s a practical remedy she is up front with us.
Dr. Berger was awarded D Magazine’s 2023 CEO Volunteer of the Year! Read more here: https://westplanopediatrics.com/announcements/dr-berger-d-magazine-ceo-volunteer-of-the-year-2023/
