Dr. Elizabeth Leon

Dr. Elizabeth Leon established West Plano Pediatrics in 1995.  She graduated from the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago and completed her residency at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.  She is board certified in pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Leon has over 25 years of experience as a pediatrician in the community and has been privileged to see patients from birth to college.  She enjoys teaching and educating both patients and parents at the time of their appointments.  Often, she shares her medical knowledge through her blogs which are found on the website.  When opportunities arise, Dr. Leon is also active in teaching students interested in the medical field.

One of Dr. Leon’s favorite time of the year is in the summer when she gets to send off her graduating patients to college. Here are a few quotes from her senior graduates:

Dr. Leon always had a smile and made going to the doctor a comfortable experience.

It was always great coming in and seeing the friendliest doctor.

Dr. Leon is always so nice and caring and answers my questions clearly and thoroughly.

At this time, Dr. Leon is available to see patients in the office on Mondays, Tuesday mornings, and Wednesdays only. She is not in the office on Thursdays and Fridays. When there are non-urgent concerns, she may be reached by email and a reply will be given within 2-5 business days

Outside of the office, Dr. Leon is a mother of three children.  Her two older sons have graduated from college, and she is coaching them into young adulthood.  Her youngest son is now in middle school and active with band.  In addition to her family commitments, she participates in Moms In Prayer and Bible Study Fellowship. When she has a free moment, you can find her cooking, reading, gardening, corresponding by letter, or playing the piano.
